Bob continues to lead the Melting Pot brand on an evolution creating memories and the Perfect Night Out® for every guest.
Bud CulpRead BioBud Culp Chief Business & Legal Officer
Joining the company in 2014, Bud Culp is responsible for overseeing the franchise development department, legal compliance, and he serves as a member of the board of directors. Bud’s legal responsibilities include management of the Legal department, corporate governance, commercial contracts, FTC and state regulatory compliance, employment, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, and management of outsourced legal counsel. Bud graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Colorado in Boulder and received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Harvard Law School. Bud subsequently received executive education from Boston University Questrom School of Business and Harvard Business School.

Scott joined the company in 2005, and is responsible for accounting, payroll, and purchasing and distribution departments. Additionally, Scott handles vendor relationships for insurance, POS, payroll, gift cards, and credit card processing relationships. Scott graduated from the University of South Florida with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and received his CPA certification in 1992. Scott worked in auditing at Ernst and Young for 5 years before moving into private accounting.
Ana MalmqvistRead BioAna Malmqvist Chief Marketing Officer
Ana joined the team in 2020 and oversees all things marketing, including digital engagement, local marketing, public relations, and creative. Ana comes to Front Burner most recently from Bloomin’ Brands, working with Outback Steakhouse and Carrabba’s Italian Grill. She is a Proctor & Gamble trained marketer with a successful history of brand building, advertising, in-store, trade promotions, and exclusive product launches with brands such as Nordstrom. Ana’s experience at top-tier brands such as L’Oréal, Proctor & Gamble, Max Factor Cosmetics, Home Shopping Network (HSN), Citibank, Merrill Lynch, Tiffany & Company. She received her MBA Georgetown University School of Business and her undergrad from Amherst College, Ana is fluent in Spanish and conversational in French and Italian.

JC joined the team in 2020. The restaurant business is in his DNA. With a lifelong career in restaurant operations, his foundation started at McDonald’s and he transitioned to national full-service brands. JC’s experience spans executive level operations with Bennigan’s, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Roy’s Pacific Rim Cuisine. JC’s brings his passion for building, growing, and improving the profitability, performance, and value of franchise organizations. His experience is hands on expansion of franchise development, cost control, margin optimization, operational excellence, turnarounds and building individual and team leadership.

Dan Stone is responsible for Front Burner’s operating business unit at the franchisor Restaurant Support Center. Dan joined Front Burner in 2006, his role focusing on developing Front Burners’ people, as well as the growth of its brands with new concept development, real estate, strategic planning, learning & communications, and human resources. A graduate of Penn State University, Stone earned his bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant, and institutional management. He received his CFE certification from the IFA in 2010 and VUCA Leadership Certificate from Cornell University in 2019. He has served on the board of directors for the Blossom Montessori School for the Deaf in Clearwater, Fla., since 2008.

Randy joined Front Burner in 2017 as the Vice President of Technology and serves as the strategic leader for the company’s technology department. Randy is charged with defining the strategies and priorities for the technology department and aligning the internal and external resources required to support the franchise system and restaurant support center. Randy’s education and technical certifications range from Chipcom network management and device configurations, ITT CAT 5 Cable certification, ALOHA POS certification, Windows NT/Server/Exchange Server/ SQL Server/IIS/WSUS, AIX Netview, SCO Unix, HTML, Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express for VOIP, and more. Randy has 30+ years in a variety of different industries, including most recently Zoe’s Kitchen and My Fit Foods.

Shak joined the team in 2020 and is responsible for the strategic growth, recruitment, and taking new and existing franchisees through our franchise discovery process. As a franchise development veteran, Shak bring 15+ years or supporting and growing franchisees for national brands such as Dunkin’ Brands, Baskin-Robbins, Valpak, CiCi’s Pizza, and Checkers & Rally’s. She completed CFE certification from the IFA in 2013 and received her Master of Business Administration from Purdue University in 2021.

Joining the company in 2014, Chef Miller is responsible for the successful development, testing and implementation of new menu items, products, and product improvements for the Melting Pot franchise system. A New York City native, Chef Miller graduated top of his class from the French Culinary Institute in New York City. With more than 25 years of experience in the restaurant industry, previously as executive chef, and partner at The Capital Grille’s largest restaurant with 450 seats on Wall Street in New York City. He also worked alongside celebrity chef David Burke for more than 10 years collaborating on culinary development and operations for a variety of restaurant concepts with the David Burke Group and Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group.

Mike joined Front Burner Brands in 2016, as the Vice President of Human Resources. Mike brings 20+ years of experience within a myriad of industries and experience in all facets of human resources including recruiting, performance management, employee relations, policy and procedures implementation, and brand management. Mike completed his Bachelor of Arts & Sciences at University of South Florida, obtained his Senior Professional in Human Resources from Human Resources Certification Institute in 2007, and his Senior Certified Professional certification from the Society of Human Resources Management in 2014.
