For the 40th consecutive year, Entrepreneur Magazine has released their renowned Franchise 500® list, which identifies the top franchise opportunities across the United States. This year, we’re pleased to announce that Melting Pot, Inc. made the list, ranking at #253 out of 500!
This isn’t the first time that Entrepreneur has recognized our unique fondue restaurant franchise opportunity for delivering exceptional value and quality. In 2015, Entrepreneur also named Melting Pot a “Top Food Franchise” out of more than 400 nationally-recognized restaurant brands. Then in 2017, we ranked #17 in Entrepreneur’s Top 200 Food-Based Franchises, in the Full-Service Restaurants category.
About the Franchise 500 Ranking
In order to even be considered for the Franchise 500, a franchisor must apply for Entrepreneur to review their entire business from top-to-bottom. The franchisor must also have at least 10 units currently operating, and submit their full current Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) to the Entrepreneur team, along with a completed application.
According to Entrepreneur, more than 1,000 different companies applied for this year’s ranking. Once all the applications had been submitted, the evaluation team considered more than 150 key franchise metrics, including costs & fees, brand support, brand strength, and overall expansion levels. From there, each franchise opportunity was given a cumulative numeric score – and those franchises with the highest scores made the Franchise 500 list.
