Jeff Nichols Transcript

The fact that we can create this intimate atmosphere where people actually put their cell phones down and talk to each other and communication happens and if you ask what people do for a living at a Melting Pot you might get someone who thinks you’re just serving a table but what we are actually doing is we are kind of creating memories. We are making life long memories that people will cherish for the rest of their lives. My name is Jeff Nichols, I became a franchisee of The Melting Pot back in 1994 when I opened my first location in Wilmington, Delaware. I fell in love with the concept so it actually had my heart before it had my work, my brain and my efforts. I was in Charlotte, North Carolina with my wife and came across the concept and we just fell in love with how personal and interactive it was. It was totally different than any other concept we had ever eaten at. I can tell you that to this day, I am just as passionate about what we do and that’s 23 years later. This brand is near and dear to my heart. We create memories, we develop people, we care about our staff, we care about the community, we are involved with Saint Jude’s and our local market and Saint Jude’s nationally that people benefit worldwide. So I can honestly say at the end of the day, it was probably one of the best choices I have ever made other than having married my wife and having to great children.
